Golrang Ventures Holds Its 10th Trust Event: From Tax Credits to Investment Instruments Golrang Ventures’ 10th Trust event was held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in two sessions (morning and afternoon) with the participation of finance managers, research and development (R&D) managers, and other managers and experts from companies within Golrang Industrial Group. The event was dedicated to exploring the potential of Investment Tax Credits and introducing Golrang Ventures’ investment instruments and models. Trust events (TRUST) are informal, knowledge-driven gatherings organized by Golrang Ventures to encourage collaborative thinking, mutual support, learning, interaction, and networking among managers and experts from companies within Golrang Industrial Group. With the 10th edition of this event, the cumulative number of participants across Trust events has surpassed 1,000. Trust: A Platform for Fostering Collaboration Within Golrang Group In line with efforts to advance organizational innovation and embed organizational learning within Golrang Industrial Group’s subsidiaries, Trust events provide a space for dialogue and collective reflection on companies’ experiences and innovative initiatives. Through this platform, knowledge gained from each company’s opportunities, successes, failures, and lessons learned extends beyond individual experiences and industry-specific circumstances, becoming a shared resource for learning, problem-solving, and advancing innovation across Golrang Group. At the beginning of the 10th Trust event, Zohreh Lourak presented an overview of the nine previous Trust Events, outlining the event’s objectives and how it came into being. The report introduced Trust as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, identifying existing capabilities within Golrang Group’s companies, fostering internal collaboration, and creating new opportunities for cooperation. Previous sessions of the event have covered topics such as knowledge-based concepts, the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law, Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits, services offered by the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, networking among R&D managers, and global technology trends. Participation of Golrang Industrial Group Companies Across the morning and afternoon sessions, approximately 70 managers and specialists in finance, research and development (R&D), and business development from Golrang Industrial Group companies attended the event. The majority of participants held managerial positions, alongside department heads, deputies, advisors, experts, officers, and Innovation Ambassadors. The highest participation came from finance, accounting, and investment, as well as R&D, innovation, and quality, reflecting the direct relevance of the event’s topics to the specialized needs of these departments. Participating companies represented Golrang Group’s distribution, food, pharmaceutical, cellulose, e-commerce, Kourosh Investment, detergent, cosmetics, and personal care holdings, among others. Investment Tax Credits: An Opportunity to Advance Technology and High-Risk Innovation In the first segment of the 10th Trust event, Abolfazl Bagheri discussed the importance of Investment Tax Credits and the opportunities provided under the relevant legislation. He outlined the legal framework governing Investment Tax Credits, eligible individuals and organizations, qualifying types of investment, and eligible expenditure categories. The discussion also explored the potential of tax credits for knowledge-based ecosystem development initiatives, research and development (R&D) projects, and outsourced university projects. Other topics covered in this segment included the process of registering and evaluating proposals, documentation requirements, and how companies can benefit from these opportunities. Tax credits enable companies to allocate part of their resources to research and development (R&D) projects, technology investments, and collaborations with knowledge-based organizations, allowing them to address real business needs while benefiting from the opportunities provided under the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law. In this segment, Abolfazl Bagheri emphasized that Golrang Ventures aims to support Golrang Group companies in adopting advanced, high-risk technologies. Developing these technologies may involve technical uncertainty, require long-term investment, or have a complex path to commercialization. Golrang Group companies can arrange meetings with Golrang Ventures to identify these opportunities, define research and development (R&D) projects, and plan their investments. They can also receive support from Golrang Ventures throughout the project evaluation, structuring, and execution stages. Introducing Golrang Ventures’ Investment Instruments In the second segment of the event, Solmaz Sadeghnia introduced various investment instruments and models for investing in and collaborating with innovative businesses. She emphasized that the Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit is not merely a cost-reduction tool for Golrang Group, but also a means of directing capital toward strategic technologies with high risks and potentially high returns. The aim is to use this opportunity through Golrang Ventures Fund for early-stage investments in Deep Tech and High-Tech sectors, which operating companies are often less willing to enter directly due to their inherent risks. This approach not only increases the effectiveness of tax credits but also enables the creation of technological assets, reduces risks for Golrang Group companies, and generates sustainable financial returns through startup growth and exits. The presentation outlined the pre-seed investment pathway through the Startup Studio, seed-stage investment through Golrang Ventures’ Specialized Accelerator, investment through Golrang Ventures Fund, venture capital investment, and the in-kind capital contribution model, which draws on Golrang Industrial Group’s strategic capabilities and assets. Golrang Ventures’ Startup Studio identifies real industry opportunities and challenges, builds teams, and develops solutions, supporting new businesses from idea validation through to the establishment of a scalable company. The Specialized Accelerator focuses on seed-stage startups, accelerating product development, market validation, and collaboration with industrial companies. Golrang Ventures Fund goes beyond providing financial capital. Innovative businesses can also benefit from Golrang Industrial Group’s capabilities and strategic assets based on their needs, including market access, infrastructure, networks, specialized expertise, supply chains, and other strategic resources. The CEO of Golrang Ventures further emphasized that the company supports Golrang Group companies in identifying innovation challenges, exploring investment opportunities, designing collaboration models, and utilizing technology and research and development (R&D) capabilities. Golrang Ventures is also ready to work with them to turn existing challenges and opportunities into actionable, value-creating projects. Both the morning and afternoon sessions concluded with a Q&A, during which participants raised questions about eligibility for tax credits, how to define and register research and development (R&D) projects, legal requirements, and investment and collaboration models offered by Golrang Ventures. The 10th Trust event marked another step toward strengthening collaboration within Golrang Group, expanding managers’ knowledge of the legal provisions supporting innovation, and laying the groundwork for joint projects and investments across Golrang Industrial Group.
