Golrang Ventures, in collaboration with Kourosh Livestock and Poultry Company, a subsidiary of Golrang Industrial Group , held its innovation camp in the field of livestock and poultry with the participation of applicants from 22 provinces of the country.
Addressing attractive investment areas in subsidiaries of Golrang Industrial Group as opportunities in the group’s value chain is one of the activities of Golrang Ventures. As the group’s venture capital arm, this company creates different calls and attracts technological and innovative teams, depending on the maturity level of the teams and companies in question.
Information channels
In the spring of 2023, a call for applicants in the field of livestock and poultry, focusing on poultry feed, was published in universities and scientific and research institutions of the country. This call was sent to more than 30 units for elite foundations in the provinces, universities and specialized faculties of livestock, agriculture, natural resources and veterinary sciences, as well as scientific and research institutions across the country, and applicants registered on the Golrang Ventures website.
In this call, Golrang Ventures attracted applicants from 22 provinces of the country in four stages: individuals with ideas, interested individuals, teams with initial products, and mature companies entering the market.
Applicants were made up of approximately equal numbers of women and men, and their level of education was 37% postdoctoral and doctoral, 36% master’s, 19% bachelor’s, and 8% below.
Camp route and webinars
After the initial screening, applicants were divided into two categories: “Direct entry to the admissions committee” and “Need further preparation to enter the admissions committee.” The teams and companies that were placed in the first category were discussed and reviewed by the consultants of Kourosh Livestock and Poultry Company and the Golrang Ventures investment team . The individuals and teams that were placed in the second category were first tested and then entered training webinars and mentoring sessions. These sessions were held for the participants by the Golrang Ventures team, as follows.

Before these webinars, a session introducing Kourosh Livestock and Poultry Company and attractive investment opportunities was held for the participants by the company’s consultants, and its needs and challenges were examined, and after that, all training was implemented based on these issues.
Final review
Finally, on September 12, a judging session was held with the presence of consultants from Kourosh Livestock and Poultry Company, the CEO of Golrang Ventures, and its investment team. The participants presented their work for 5 minutes and were asked questions and answered for 5 to 10 minutes.
Currently, Kourosh Livestock and Poultry Company, along with the Golrang Ventures investment team, is conducting a final review and holding more meetings with the selected team and companies to achieve final results.
