Golrang Ventures’ presence at the national meeting of innovation factories in Kermanshah

The National Innovation Factory Summit was held in Kermanshah from May 19 to 21, 2021, with the aim of networking, exchanging experiences, and developing cross-ecosystem collaborations. This three-day event was attended by senior managers of innovation factories, facilitating institutions, venture capitalists, government managers, and key players in the country’s innovation and technology ecosystem, and became a place to exchange views on the development of regional innovation and the expansion of innovative infrastructure in the provinces. Golrang Ventures, as the venture capital arm of Golrang Industrial Group and one of the active funds in the field of corporate venture capital (CVC) called Golrang Ventures Fund , attended this meeting with an active and participatory approach. Golrang Ventures’ presence in this event was aimed at strengthening the connection between the country’s industry and innovation ecosystem and exploring investment opportunities in different regions of the country.

Corporate Venture Fund Strategy Expert Panel

Among the key programs of this meeting was the holding of specialized panels with the presence of experts and activists of the innovation ecosystem. In this regard, Golrang Ventures participated in the specialized panel “Strategy of Corporate Venture Funds for Cooperation with Innovation Factories”. In this panel, which was widely welcomed by the audience, Reza Yazdanpanah, Head of Investment at Golrang Ventures, represented the company and expressed the views and experiences of this group in the field of interaction with startups, innovation centers and innovation factories across the country.

In this expert discussion, topics such as how to define sustainable cooperation models between CVCs and regional innovation institutions, the role of data-driven investment decisions, support for seed and growth stage startups, and the need to create a common language between industry and the innovation ecosystem were discussed. Reza Yazdanpanah emphasized the need to define long-term mechanisms for investment in less-privileged regions and announced the readiness of this group to enter into strategic partnerships with provincial innovation factories.
