Golrang Ventures signs cooperation agreement with Qeshm Innovation Factory
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged between Golrang Ventures and the Qeshm Free Zone Innovation Factory on May 9. The MoU, which had been previously signed, was exchanged on the sidelines of Innotex 2024 at the Qeshm Innovation Factory booth.
Holding meetings
Previously, in March 2023, Golrang Ventures made a short trip to Qeshm Island and held meetings with the region’s CEO, Adel Paighami, as well as the vice presidents of investment and tourism.
In addition, he held discussions with the Persian Gulf Biotechnology Park, the growth and education centers of this global island. In these meetings, the potential of this region was discussed, as well as Golrang Ventures’ support in these activities.
Golrang Ventures’ presence in the Qeshm Free Zone Innovation Factory is considered the starting point for these activities, and Golrang Ventures has launched its second physical hub after Tehran, on Qeshm International Island, and signed a memorandum of understanding with its innovation factory.
Qeshm Innovation Factory
The Qeshm Innovation Factory was launched under the supervision of the Free Zone Tourism Department and Mammoth Urban Innovation Studio as the island’s strategic innovation consultancy in early 1403. The area of this space is 4,000 square meters and is designed to accommodate startups and innovation centers, as well as hold events and exhibitions.
Golrang Ventures has also settled in one of these spaces to explore the potential and capacities available in the field of innovation on this global island and take a step towards attracting talented teams and individuals and investment capacities.
Developing an innovation ecosystem
Developing interaction and cooperation with science and technology parks and universities in the region will be another of Golrang Ventures’ plans on Qeshm Island. In order to further develop the innovation ecosystem in the south of the country, the Golrang Industrial Group’s Innovation and New Technologies Center’s interactions will expand in those areas and will engage in various activities.
Golrang Ventures has previously participated in events in the Makran region in Chabahar, Minab, and Bandar Abbas and is expanding its ecosystem development in these regions. In addition to venture capital, Golrang Ventures’ perspective in these regions is also in various other dimensions such as freelance activities, so that the country can benefit from the expertise and capabilities of the region’s youth in various activities.
